132 THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE OF VIDEO GAME DEVELOPMENT

Crafts and Hobbies

Video games have been dazzling players for decades by turning passive displays into interactive worlds. Join former Nintendo developer and current Wolfhound parent, Jeremy Alessi, for a peak behind the curtain at the technologies and techniques game developers have used to wow audiences. Initially, game developers started with three rectangles of light backed by physical capacitors and resistors. Today, developers can generate vast 3D wildernesses without having to touch a single electronic component. What will they do tomorrow and what does it mean for video game. CLASS LOCATION/TIME: Saint Patrick Catholic School, 7:00-9:00 pm. SPECIAL NOTE: Parent + child can attend for 1 registration fee. Parent must accompany child for entire class.
