126 Hitchcock in the FiftiesArts and Music
Alfred Hitchcock was one of the most popular, well-known, and respected directors. He made over 50 movies and hit his creative peak in the decade of the 1950s. Of the 11 films he made during the decade, 4 are classics. Hitchcock buff Bill Myers will discuss all of them with an emphasis on the 4 classics (Strangers on a Train, Rear Window, Vertigo and North by Northwest). With film clips and stills, he’ll discuss the themes and symbols along with some critiques. Plus you’ll be able to spot all of Hitchcock’s cameos!
