112 WE NEED TO TALK: How to Talk to Other Parents About Our Kids BehaviorFamily Matters
One of the hardest things we have to do is talk to other parents when there are problem behaviors happening at school. It can feel like a confrontation to try to address a sensitive topic with another parent, so it often gets avoided. We need to model for our children that these conversations can be healthy and positive, even if uncomfortable. Learn how to understand your own insecurities in these situations, though you won't have to share them in the class! Learn communication skills for having these difficult conversations so you can feel prepared. Also learn how to talk to your child openly and how to demonstrate what you truly feel in a healthy way. In this day and age, our children deal with so many issues including bullying, both through social media and in the classroom, and we need to make it OK to talk about with each other.
